NOTE: IF THE BAYIT CAM APP SHOWED A MESSAGE DIRECTING YOU TO THIS PAGE, YOUR CAMERA FIRMWARE MUST BE UPDATED.

Firmware Update

Note: A Windows or MAC PC must be used to complete the firmware update, you cannot update the firmware using a mobile device.
Note: Please use the Google Chrome browser to download the firmware files and complete this update.

First you need to download the correct firmware update file for your camera, select your camera model and BN from the list below, the update file will begin to download automatically.

Please Note: the BN number can be found printed on the back of the cameras, if your camera does not have a BN number printed on it, the mandatory security update is STILL required.

Step 1

Before you begin, make sure your computer and Bayit Cam are both connected to the same network and that the camera is plugged in.

A. On the mobile device that you use to view your camera, Launch the Bayit Cam app.

B. Select the Menu button on the top left corner, and select “Camera List”
C. Select “Add Camera”, then select “Search in LAN”. The app will do a search of all the cameras currently connected to your network. Note: If no camera is shown select the “Refresh” button on the bottom of the page.

Step 3

A. Under each camera UID shown on the “Lan Search” page, there is an IP address, copy the IP address into the browser on your PC or Mac computer, add :81 after the IP address and hit the enter key.

For example if the IP address shown is 192.168.1.117 enter 192.168.1.117:81 in your computers browser window.
B. Your browser will show a window for a username and password, the default username is admin and the password is the password you created when adding the camera to the Bayit Cam app for the first time. Note: If you forgot the password created when first setting up your camera, you will need to do a factory reset on your camera and set it up again, then proceed to update the camera firmware.
C. After logging in successfully, select “Sign in” under the first option for IE, Firefox, Google, Safari Browser.
D. On the next page, select “Options”

Step 4

Click System Settings>System Maintenance>System upgrade>Choose file (This is the Update file you downloaded when beginning the update process, please find it on your computer and select it)>Select Ok.  There will be a notification “System will begin to upgrade”.  Click “Yes” to begin the upgrade.

***NOTE: Please do not disconnect power from the camera until the update is complete. When the update is complete you will see an Upgrade success! dialogue pop up. You can now close the browser window and proceed with step 5.

Step 5

You will need to DELETE the camera from the Bayit Cam app, to do so select the 3 Small dots on the top right of the camera preview screen, then select the settings cog, and select “Remove this device” and select “YES”

When the update has completed you will need to setup your cameras again, please do so using the Quick Setup or Manual setup methods found below.
